For Everyone

If you have ever thought of having your photo noticeably displayed in New York City's Times Square, Google can help make it happen!

Google has taken over Time Square, or at least four screens on a marquee. As part of its “For Everyone” campaign that rolled out with the release of the Samsung Chromebook last month, the company has decided to help prove to people why it is so useful to everyone.

Google For Everyone
Photo: Google

If you didn’t notice Google published a new site called Gallery for Everyone to which anyone can upload an image and tell what they use the Chromebook for. For those who want to see their photos in Times Square in New York City, then you can do it right from the site.

Anyone over the age of 13 can submit an image to the site. However, you might encounter some difficulties in uploading. Google says that submissions are limited to certain devices and browsers and recommends that you use a “modern browser like Chrome”.

The page contains an applet that lets you add a photo and then easily add a single "For" caption. Once uploaded, the photos are shared through the website, and, if chosen, on one of the giant screens located in Times Square.

If you want to see where this whole campaign started, you can check out Google’s “For Everyone” video that went public during the Major League Baseball World Series last month.

Search Engine Optimization

Basic SEO is how search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo! create the list of sites that you see when someone types a words or phrase into the search bar. Although SEO helps to increase the traffic to one's site, SEO can be a temporary or a permanent activity.

search engine optimization

Sometimes it is enough to do some standard SEO in order to get higher page rank in search engines – let’s take an example if you are using infrequent keywords, then you do not have a much to do in order to get decent page rank. But in most cases, if you really want on top, you need to pay special attention to SEO and devote significant amounts of time and effort to it.

Search engines are very hard to understand. They include extremely detailed processes and methodologies, and are constantly updated all the time. Nobody can know the method how search engine works to retrieve the search result. All search engines follow basic process when conducting search processes, but as they are using different methods it shows different result. When user types a keyword or query into a search engine search engine do following tasks.
  1. Search engine software quickly sorts through literally millions of pages in its database to find matches tothis query.
  2. The search engine's results are ranked in order of relevancy.
search engine optimization

More precisely we can say that when any request comes from the user, the search engine processes it. It  compares the search string with the indexed pages in the database. Since normally there are lots of page contains the search string, the search engine now starts calculating the relevancy of search string in each of the page retrieved. There are various algorithms to calculate relevancy. Each algorithms give different weight to factors like keyword density, links, or metatags. That is why different search engines not show the same result page for the same search string. There are lots of techniques and points to remember for getting top positions in major search engines, out of so many here we have listed some of them.
  1. Place keywords in the tag of a title.
  2. Anchor the text in links.
  3. Maintaining the quality of inbound and outbound links
  4. Making sure that the first paragraph of any article is filled with top keywords.
There are also several other tips for getting better SEO but above mention tips are working fine to get good SEO. Some other factors that are affecting SEO are listed below.
  • Title Tag
  • Meta Tags
Search engines take almost 90% of all web traffic. Most of the search queries retrieve thousand and millions of results to choose from. So if your web site comes after first page on search engines for keywords relevant to your website, then you may miss out a large number of visitors because many visitors doesn’t go for the second page. So if you want to increase your website ranking in most of the popular search engine you have to use a combination of correct keywords, inbound linkage, effective content and last but not the least the META tags.

Google Plus

G+ is the youngest social network and its owners are proud to point out that it is the fastest-growing network. Google Plus has emerged as a response to the dominance of Facebook, which is the absolute leader as a social network with the most users (nearly a billion) and which has certain drawbacks.

First impressions of G+ are that it is a mixture of Facebook and Twitter, because it has not too many applications, there is no possibility to create separate pages, and events, but there are only profiles of people (and there are sections that represent specific companies and websites which Google deletes) while compared to Twitter, you can leave comments which are unlimited long.

What G+ introduced as a novelty are circles that you create and insert in a different category of "friends". Very soon after the onset of a G+, Facebook introduced a similar thing. When you share something via your status you select circles of people to whom this status will be visible.

Until recently, this network was entered only by invitations, but now the network is open to all of them who wish to join. One of the main reasons why G+ is the fastest growing network is the fact that anyone who has a Gmail account is automatically registered to all other Google's services and therefore on Google Plus.

Currently, this network apart two groups of users: those who have registered but are not active, and those who have embraced this goal and actively share content. This second group is made up mostly of people who have something to do with the IT industry.
