Facebook @Desktop is a light-weight client that sits in your system tray, like any other messenger software, and will alert you as soon as some new activity happens in your Facebook stream, providing balloon style alerts when you receive new messages, friend requests, event invites, group invites.
You don’t need to refresh your profile a hundred times to keep track of your Facebook! Facebook @Desktop allows you to receive notifications with new wall posts, messages and friend requests. Just cause you are not on the website doesn’t mean you’re not on Facebook!
Once
installed the program will place a small icon in your tray from which
you can find out all that is happening in your Facebook account. With
it’s advanced features, FaceBook @Desktop enables access to your
FaceBook stream even at school, work, or any other firewall protected
place through it’s built in proxy server. It has an integrated Web
browser that goes directly to you FaceBook homepage.

can see your IP address, geographical location information such as
longitude and latitude. And that is not all. FaceBook @Desktop gives
you the latest weather conditions of your city.
